SWS sponsors a juried Annual Membership Exhibition in late summer or early fall. The Fourth Vice President is the Exhibition Chairman. At the discretion of the SWS Board, the Society may have additional juried Open Shows or other nonjuried shows.

- June 1 Entry deadline: 5 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 for receipt of payment, entries and digital images online or payment, CD and entry forms by mail. NO late acceptance.
- June 13? Slide Preview Party, 2:30—4:30 p.m. Royal Lane Baptist Church, 6707 Royal Lane at Hillcrest.
- July 10 Notices of Acceptance mailed.
- August 2 - 6 Deadline for shipped paintings to arrive.
- August 14 10 a.m.—1:00 p.m., Hand deliver accepted paintings to Family Arts, 4017 Preston Rd., Plano, TX. Hanging of show
- August 17—September 25 SWS 47th Annual Membership Exhibition at pFamily Arts, 4017 Preston Rd., Plano, TX
- September 18 6-8 p.m., Awards Reception at pFamily Arts, 4017 Preston Rd., Plano, TX.
- September 27 10 a.m.—2 p.m., Pick up hand-delivered paintings at pFamily Arts, 4017 Preston Rd., Plano, TX. Return shipping by Craters and Freighters of shipped artwork.
- October 13 Delivery of your work (volunary participation) to VACD (one day after SWS pick-up date from the Art Centre of Plano) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Western Federation
SWS is a member of the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies and all SWS Active Members are eligible to enter their annual juried art exhibition. Only when entry is made through SWS, and an entered work is accepted, will status points be earned toward SWS Signature Membership. For more information, contact the Western Federation Chairman.

SWS Signature Members
Those Active Members whose work has been accepted in any five Open, Western Federation (entered through SWS) or Membership Shows of the Society shall become SWS Signature Members and shall be entitled to display the SWS signature on their work. (see Article I Section 4 of the Bylaws)

SWS PRIVATE COLLECTION
Through the years several nationally recognized artists have donated watercolor paintings to SWS. This spring, 2007, eleven paintings were taken out of storage, were framed alike and are now hanging at Medical City Dallas Hospital. They can be identified by brass plates installed on the mats engraved with SWS Collection and the Artist’s name. We are grateful to Medical Space Designs, Inc. for arranging to show our collection for an indefinite period of time in a great location and securely locked to the wall. These paintings are by the following:

A small hallway beside the pharmacy between Building B and Building C near the front of the building is devoted entirely to our collection. If you enter Building C and immediately turn to the left there is a large atrium. Cross the atrium and you will see the hallway and the pharmacy. There is a LaMadeleine’s at the end of the atrium and the hallway was chosen because it receives a lot of traffic. Mary White, an artist herself, is the owner of Medical Space Designs, Inc. and has been a member of SWS for many years.
