Definition: Watercolor is a water-base paint with water-soluble pigments that are either transparent or opaque; can include gouache, acrylic, ink, sumi, tempera, and casein as well as traditional transparent and opaque watercolor. Allied mediums: watercolor pencils and crayons, acrylic pens.
