Artist's Statement: After graduating from Newcomb College with a BFA degree I always felt painting should not be exclusively realistic or abstract; so, I travel freely between the two. My paintings are to express my response to the love of God. As years passed, I turned to the inner landscape of the soul. First by using the Christ symbol, the fish, then to others such as the rainbow. The Altar series is the result where the square represents the earth - God's Altar -and the circle represents God and the Holy Trinity. I hope to express the universality of Christianity and the common bond that binds all mankind. I'm so excited about these paintings that I can hardly finish one before another is formed in my mind.
