Here to Get May Meeting to Honor Naomi Brotherton At
our last meeting of the year, on May 14, we will honor Naomi Brotherton,
a founding member and early president of Southwestern Watercolor Society.
Many of you have studied with Naomi. This will be a celebration event,
with fun and surprises for all. Be sure to join us. Spring Paintout Set for April 26 in Tyler. Mark Your Calendars
now for the Spring Paintout in beautiful Tyler. We'll meet for dinner
on Friday evening, April 25. Then on Saturday we'll paint and see
the sites. To top off the day, we'll have cocktails and dinner, followed
by our regular fun-filled informal exhibition. You can stay and paint
on Sunday, or just enjoy breakfast with friends and head back to Dallas.
Pat Fekete and Nancy Donley have been working on arrangements with
Bobbye Koncak, Gayle Ledbetter and Pattie Bowler.

Mission Statement:
The
purpose of the Society shall be the elevation of the stature of watercolor
as an art medium and the education of the public as to the significance
of watercolor as an important creative permanent painting medium. The
Society shall be dedicated to the highest aesthetic standards. The Society
shall further the interests of painters in watercolor by its programs
and competitive exhibits, and shall encourage its study by art students
and others engaged in watercolor painting. The Society shall not sanction
any bias among varying schools of art. |
